Surfing environmentalists Alumni have been shortlisted for the Geographical Magazine: Better World Video Competition.

Since leaving AC in 2016, Ben Davies, Roo Smith and Thomas Joutsikoski have been keeping themselves busy making a short film series about sustainability and surfing in global coastal communities. The trio bonded over their love of surfing when living here off the beautiful heritage coast that we all love and formed the Goat Surf Club which is still going strong. 

The Goat Surf Club is an online TV series that was created from the shared love of surfing and a deep commitment to environmental stewardship. Born out of a reunion after years apart, Roo, Ben and Thomas have crafted a unique blend of adventure and activism.

Beyond the pursuit of the perfect wave, the Goat Surf Club embarks on global surf expeditions, exploring coastal wonders, engaging with local communities, and championing uplifting environmental stories to inspire a world where passion for the ocean meets conscious environmental action.
